Introducing the Esko XPS Crystal 5080

The Esko XPS Crystal 5080 is a cutting-edge flexo plate exposure unit that combines UV main and back exposure using UV LED technology. This innovative approach ensures consistent and high-quality plates, reducing variability and enhancing print performance.

Upgrading with a New Kongsberg Cutting Table

In addition to the Esko XPS Crystal 5080, we have also installed a new Kongsberg cutting table. Known for their precision and reliability, Kongsberg cutting tables will now be integral to our finishing process, ensuring accurate and efficient cutting of flexo plates.

Design and Flexo Scotland joins the Phoenix Group!

As part of our ambitious expansion plans, we’re thrilled to announce that Design and Flexo is now part of the Phoenix Group.

Located north of the border and as Scotland’s largest flexographic repro house, Design and Flexo is ideally positioned to serve clients in Scotland and to complement Phoenix’s existing services across the UK.

Phoenix is currently investing in new equipment and personnel to further enhance the services offered by Design and Flexo including Scotland’s only Kodak NX system. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!

It is an exciting start to 2023! Bristol-based 360 Reprographics has become part of Phoenix Printing Plates. The amalgamation of the two businesses provides an opportunity for 360’s client base to experience Phoenix’s cutting-edge range of ThermoFlexX Catena-E, Kodak NX, and standard flexographic plate-making systems. They will also have the opportunity to streamline their workflows using Phoenix’s Esko WebCenter portal.

The 2022 FlexoTech Awards were especially exciting for us at Phoenix!

Kingfisher Labels scooped two awards for Best Process Print and Best Newcomer with the Moor Beer Italia Pils label which was printed using Kodak NX Plates from Phoenix!

The judges said: “It was good to see the excellent standard from the newcomers to the awards this year and the winner’s very high standards show that the industry is in very good hands”.

The ThermoFlexX Catena-E uses the latest technology high-power LEDs to eliminate oxygen effects in flexo plate making. Catena-E provides precise image reproduction and fine relief elements for the highest possible flexo plate quality. Perfect for imaging the finest surface microstructures and dot patterns.
